The flight

The Flight! This is when everything became real... WOW I am traveling to South Korea!
The experience started very well since I had 2 seats for myself when flying to Detroit, MI. 

The flight from Detroit to Incheon was packed even when the airplane had 2 floors. 

I made a Korean friend named Bryan in the flight, which help alleviate my nerves. Trying to sleep in planes is never easy for me. However, the u-shaped pillow that Lisa bought for me (obviously... she helps me even when thousands miles away) was a great asset! After sleeping for a while, watching movies and getting out of my seat to pee 20 times I made it to Korea. It took a while to get use to everything. Random people asked me where I was going... like I was sooo sure where I was going... NOT. Anyways it turns out that I was able to figure out the discount for currency exchange. Changed $500 and I got soo many Wons I felt like a pimp. I got really excited and bought the combo tickets for the train and taxi. The ladies at the Korail Information center were very helpful with this. The train was leaving in 4 min so I ran like a crazy person but forget an important document at the desk, so the lady at the information center ran after me in high heels (so impressive). And of course if it was not for her that told me I took a wrong turn, I would have never made it to the train, which was waiting for me. In the middle of the train ride I noticed that I didn't buy a SIM card. Classic me... :|. More about that later on. I made it to Soul in 30min. There, the cab driver surprised me by telling me that I should go with him! Got scared but he mentioned that I was going to Koreana Hotel so I trusted him. The communication between the taxi and airport was awesome! During my arrival to the hotel the crew members were awesome and thank God I didn't tip them since later I learned this made them really uncomfortable. Overall it was a great experience!
